Charity Cycle Ride – Pevensey Project

On the 22nd May 2010 I’m cycling from Landsend to John O Groats, the route is approximately 1000 miles which I hope to complete in a 9 day challenge. This is in memory of my old pal Chris Lambird to raise money for the Pevensey Project.

The Eastbourne DGH are looking to raise £2,000,000 to create a new cancer centre of excellence, if we help to raise £20,000 each for the new treatment rooms we can name one room ‘The Chris Lambird Room’ which he was very keen to support.

I would also be very grateful for your support in any donations and sponsor money given for this cycle challenge.

Thanks in anticipation of your support – Colin Siggs.

A Room for Chris

Sponsored Flying attempt – 5th June 2008
Raise £50 or more in sponsorship and go flying for free

The Eastbourne DGH are looking to raise £2 Million to create a new Cancer Centre of Excellence.

If we help to raise £20,000 for one of the ten new treatment rooms, they will name it The Chris Lambird Room.

Chris was very keen to support the Pevensey Project. The new centre will make a huge difference for the treatment and quality of life for patients.

Our fund raising event will include flying at the Ringmer Gliding Club (5-8pm) for those who have raised enough in sponsorship. Followed by a Hog Roast, Strawberries and Cream for afters at the Roebuck Inn from 8pm onwards. Evening entertainment will be provided by Phil Davies.

We have 25 flying places available on a first come first served basis, but non-flyers could kindly collect donations on a form (form on request) for this most worthy cause.

Cost: Supper for flyers – £15 each; guests – £20 each (half price for juniors).

Please contact Oliver Hodges at EMC on 01323 720681 to reserve your place and/or supper.
